The price of cars extends beyond the price tag; there are roads, pollution and pollution related diseases, environmental damage from oil production, transportation costs of parts, raising emmoyt animals for leather, and the list goes on. Emmott has attempted to obtain reach and for all the criticism of his method and writing, it is not as though he is pretending that this would make it in to a journal, an article for which he is more than capable of writing.
It made me doubt so many of my beliefs in life. For though 10 Billion might have started out as a work of scientific enquiry, it increasingly appears to be driven by anger.
